The journey continues. 205/520. Not bad for about a ten year effort. Let me know what you have. Please no slivers of a name on top. I need at least 3/4's of the name.

I've got this trio. I really don't want to get rid of them but I might if I liked the trade.

I'm working on T206 portraits so the Jordan and Davidson are a part of that project. The Bergen I've just been holding onto because it's got the full name on top and a Tolstoi back... I just like it I guess. Bergen just came back from SGC and they really hammered me on the grade. I'm not seeing anything with the naked eye that would cause it to be that low?

Bergen - FRONT: full name at top, can barely see a sliver of the name on bottom, BACK: full factory on bottom, can barely see a sliver of factory on top

Jordan - FRONT: full name at top, about 1/3 of name on bottom

Davidson - FRONT: full name at top, almost full name at bottom, BACK: full factory on top and on bottom

This is a very cool way to collect an already famous set. I'd love to see it displayed sometime in a prominent location when you complete it.

Possible at that time get it all graded just to have a vanity name added to the flip - "NAMES ON TOP" would be a sweet add.

Zach- I used to own the Jordan and Davidson...got them from a board member a while back. Nice examples.

From me, I believe. And I think I got the Jordan from Lee Behrens. I believe the Davidson was a raw eBay find.

I'm going to miss them but I think they found a good home. Doug got a couple more name on tops for his collection and we were able to work out a good trade to put some portraits in my collection.

These are great! It seems there are a million different ways to collect these cards.

The Hound came through with another and picked up a few on eBay. Included was the Oberlin that I had a snipe set on but a few hours before it was to end Painthistorian ended it and reposted with a buy it now for $30 less than my snipe. Fishy but saved me some money. Still looking for about 400 more.

Doug, I don't know if you saw this, or if you'd even be interested anymore having just acquired a Bergen. But Tom's selling one with a half name at the top.

Usually pay about $50-$150 for my cards depending on how much name is showing and I still like them in nice condition but these are so rare Ill take any condition. A few I've seen but not in time are Bates, Malarkey, McBride, and Dougherty portrait. If you bought any of these, let me trade you one of my doubles. I have some real nice ones not shown in the original post.
