Love this game!
As a kid in the early/mid 80s I played All-Star Baseball constantly, as well as my Dad's childhood version game from the early 1960s. I bought other disks from the company and even made my own sometimes for an obscure player or some hot rookie who had just been called up (I remember making a disk for Ron Kittle). I later bought a game in 1991 or '92 when I was in college and the disks had the players faces on them, which I didn't like as much.
As an adult, I've since purchased six more full games from different years - 1940s to 1970s, giving me nine total (I know, it's a bit of a sickness). I don't really play them much anymore, but really just kind of collect them for some dumb reason. Good luck with the sale. |
Here's the version I have from my childhood. The neighborhood kids and I played quite a bit whenever it was raining or we weren't either trading baseball cards or actually playing baseball. My childhood summers seemed to center around baseball :)

Just FYI for "ASB" enthusiasts and collectors: the Cadaco All-Star Baseball forum and e-list, despite Yahoo's mangling of the format,
is still running strong (almost 800 members) at http://groups.yahoo.com/group/Cadaco...rBaseballGame/ Homepage for the group at our Baseball Games site: http://baseballgames.dreamhosters.com/CadacoASB.htm |
