Let's see your early Giants stuff!

Nice looking vintage Giants ticket, Chris!

Thanks!

Won this photo of the 1904 Giants in the recent REA. Matty was taking a leak behind the fence when the picture was taken. Good thing too or the price would have gone stratospheric.

Sorry. Somebody had to say it. He could've had all the NY NL fans if he hadn't followed O'malley.) to Hans Lobert inviting him back to the Polo Grounds for a Final Game Celebration. After that is the plaque that was given to Hans as a memento of the final game. I assume it was given to all dignitaries/attendees, but have never seen another. Both came from the collection of Hans Lobert. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v2...Giants1957.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v2...dslastgame.jpg |

Original 1911 Bain photo of John Brush who was the owner of the New York Giants franchise in Major League Baseball from 1890 until his death. Brush was also a leader in the formation of the rules that govern the modern World Series. He was one of 11 executives who were honored by the Baseball Hall of Fame on a Roll of Honor in 1946.
Original1925 photo of John McGraw and Hugh Jennings on the set of the Movie The Pinch Hitter. I have never been able to determine who the catcher in the dugout is. Original 1934 photo of Carl Hubbell at the 1934 All Star Game. Its not terribly vintage but I have always loved the photo. |

A couple of NY Giants pennants. The first is not super rare and is probably 1940s or earlier. The second obviously fell prey to moths, but I am told it's quite rare (in any condition).

Great stuff. Hans Lobert had a business card. Who knew? I know the OP wanted early NY Giants but this is all I have handy and I wanted to join in on the fun. A couple large photos from I believe '54....

I don't have many older Giants collectibles but here's a scarce pinback for Hal Schumacher - Thirteen seasons in N.Y. beginning at age 20 in 1931.

Here's a 1947 New York Giants cap from my collection.
It was worn by Hank Gowdy, who was with the Giants three times during his career from 1910–1911, 1923–1925 and 1947-1948 as a coach. He was the only major league player that served in both World Wars (as to my knowledge). Furthermore, he was also a member of the 1914 Miracle Braves. (The cap is in pretty perfect condition for its age) |
