Starx Cards - Grading - Crossover?

Anyone have any any experience with getting SGC or PSA Slabs to match the grades currently assigned by Starx Cards? Your thoughts on this crossing to an 8?

I've never done it, nor am I an expert grader, but I'd like to give my opinion.:D
At first glance it looks like a solid 7 NM. The slight corner bend on the bottom right and the o so slight off centered-ness puts it in that range. PSA may find something else that the naked eye cant see through the scan, but that's always a risk you take with any card.

I also think that this may be in the incorrect forum...

Starx

Looks like lower right has a touch, however I think PSA would pass it, SGC definitely not..

I'm not familiar with Starx cards and am not an expert, just providing feedback on your scan. If any of the other corners are not sharp than what was mentioned prior or if that is a small mark near the top right corner on your scan, which you can barely see so it may just be the case, it may get a 6. I wouldn't think you'd get worse than that. Good luck and take care.

Paul started grading his raw cards a few years ago. From my experience (and I've bought many raw cards from him), he tends to slightly overgrade some - but it's not much - like half a grade to a full grade. I bought several from him at the TriStar show in Houston last year that were graded as 7s and I would say probably 60% - 70% crossed, the others came in a half grade to full grade lower. If you're wanting an equal crossover, it's better to buy a grade better than what you're hoping for, just in case.

As far as the card in question, I agree with the others about the bottom right corner. I believe that card would grade an SGC 7 to 7.5 (knowing SGC is your grader of choice).
