Cool piece!!

Is it me, or does Honus look like he's been photoshopped in the pic? :)

He just looks out of place.

Thanks for sharing

Tony

He was added in to the photo. The piece was auctioned off Thursday in Collectible Classics.

Very cool, all the exact same poses as the Voskamp cards? (except for Wagner)

Didn't check any others, but Gibson's pose does not match his Voskamp card either. In this photo (which is absolutely awesome, by the way) he is standing with his arms crossed. In his Voskamp card he's standing with his hands/arms behind his back.

Cheers,

Richard.

Can you post the link to that item in the auction? Thanks.

Richard,

I agree and that is why I said "may" in my original post about the pose.

Here is a link to the auction lot and I have to point out (sorry John and Judy Burk) an inaccuracy in the listing. Football Hall of Famer Jim Conzelman is not in the picture. Joe Conzelman is the person in the picture. I do not know if they were related.

Yep, absolutely. I was just trying to answer Jeff's question (and use it as an excuse to fire my only Voskamp into the thread).

To answer it more completely, it appears as though Hyatt and Booe's poses came from this photo as did Hofman and Conzelman. What I find particularly interesting is that if you look at the cards for Hofman and Conzelman, it looks (at least to my eyes) that their lower bodies were drawn on.

I also looked at scans of the Pirates T200 card. Simon was an *almost* match, but the jerseys on that card are entirely different than the ones used for the Voskamp's cards.

Cheers,

Richard.

Hey, nice Gibson collection. I have also started a Gibson collection. Just wondering on any leads for a Voskamp Gibson? Great orange border. If you need a buyer :)

I would too. And if I might be so bold, let's see the Gibson from that set too ;)

And Marty, thanks for the kind words. Shoot me a PM. I'm not looking to sell any part of my collection, but I'm also up to 'talk turkey', especially if it's with another Gibson collector. Plus, if I know what kind of stuff you're looking for, I can keep my eyes open for you.

Cheers,

Richard.

Hey Marty -- I don't think anyone has seen anyone other than the Rader from this set. I think it's the only known example of the set.

Cheers,

Richard.
