Great pose! ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^
But can you imagine them positioning a player like that in this day and age? I don't think that's the recommended body position to catch a line drive, grounder, or anything else hit your way. Sure makes for a cool photo though. Love the classy and intense Mathews pose as well :) |
Wow. Lots of Marks posting in this thread.
It must be the Mark of a good thread. HaHa. Great photos Mark. Jim, Love the guns on Foxx. |

Great Howe photo. Sent from my SCH-I545 using Tapatalk |
Congratulations Guys!! I had to give up photos because I couldn't afford the cards let alone the photos. Great stuff though....I enjoy window shopping.

Bob,
Great photo of Howe. Classic photo. |
Thanks, I'm happy with it!

I remain an immature collector of baseball photos. My main focus over the past two years has been on photos of Tony Lazzeri and a series of other Yankees HoF-ers from the 1920s and 1930s.
Initially by chance but, more recently with deliberate focus, I've been purchasing photos of Joe DiMaggio. Therefore, I was really pleased to purchase this one from DiMaggio's rookie year in the recent auction: http://i926.photobucket.com/albums/a...s6bb6b28e.jpeg |

Love it. The autograph is on a matchbook that had been corner taped to an album page. The octagonal matte covers the old tape marks well.

BEAUTIFUL piece, Jim.
