RMY Auctions vintage baseball photos, where is the market going?

The RMY Auctions vintage baseball photograph auction ended last night. Lots of fascinating photos. Where does everyone think the market for vintage 1920's and earlier baseball photos is going?

The market has forced me to adjust my 'max' upward with each succeeding auction. I finally 'overpaid' to win my first. In retrospect, the first offerings went for a bargain!

According to their email the auction ended at 8am.

I also won one auction at a much higher price than I had hoped. It appears that pre-WWI photos are commanding a considerable premium these days, I suppose due to their relative scarcity.

I bid on a few of the WaJos and a nice Sam Rice. What the WaJos went for didn't really surprise me (I didn't win any), but I figured I'd surely win the Rice for well under $100 - Wrong! - I kept getting outbid immediately each time I bid on it, so I finally accepted that someone wanted it more than I did.
