The Grand Slam Wild Pitch
This just happened.
Brewers batting at Coors Field with two out and the bases loaded. The pitcher is batting. A wild pitch is thrown. The catcher throws wildly to the pitcher covering and one run scores. As the pitcher is retrieving the ball the second runner scores without another play. The catcher is now back at home plate hanging his head. The pitcher is non-chalantly walking back toward home or the mound not paying attention. Segura from first base never stops running. Before the Colorado battery wakes up, Segura slides home with the third run on the play. How about that, a base-loaded 3 run wild pitch. Just when you thought you had seen everything.:D |
The end part was great, Frank. Segura was walking towards home somewhat nonchalantly, and the Rockie with the ball didn't seem to realize that the play was ongoing, and that Segura could still score. Then Jean turned on the speed, and slid in home safe.

Frank - Thanks for sharing the link. I bet the pitcher is still kicking himself for that one.
