49 Bowman doesn't equal 1950 - 79 and you already have it listed correctly in that section. Best of luck in the sale, just wrong section.

Can '49 Bowmans be soaked? May be worth a try
|
I thought the same, but the risk is a little heavy for my tolerance. I think it would soak ok, but I doubt there would be much grime removal from it. Using a very mild detergent might help, but that swerves over my shaky ethical line…and would be pretty dangerous.

nice card but...
Adam, just a few thoughts. This card is a cool card to have so I can understand your excitement about owning it and also offering it up for sale. In an antique shop or card shop throwing a crazy price on something like this is understandable, but here on the net54 board it seems that everyone is very informed about cards, conditions, real market value etc.
If you take some time to browse the archives you will see that fishing for high prices never works. If you check out past auctions, sales, ebay listings etc, (which is what most people do before they purchase anything) you will see that your initial and subsequent asking prices are a bit "hopeful". I think if you do a bit of homework and ask a reasonable price at the start you will not have to play games along the way. The condition of the card is not great, but again still a card most want to own. I am just trying to be helpful, and would suggest posting it to the discussion board first, and ask what members think about condition and real value. You could also open it up for offers to see what interested parties are willing to pay. I have my feeling of what is a fair value, you are welcome to PM me for my personal opinion. I am glad you are having fun as a new member. I just joined my self recently, but I do spend "a lot" of time browsing through the archives in order to make informed decisions. |

Thank you very much for helping me understand a bit better no reduced the price for what I think is a fair price considering eBay they are at $500
|
$500 on ebay??
When you say it goes for $500 on ebay what do you mean exactly? Well, it also goes for $3000. A PSA or SGC 1 would not fetch $500. If you have a recent ebay/auction reference for a card in similar condition please provide it. Remember, just because someone is "asking" $500 on ebay doesn't mean it is worth that or will sell for that. We need to reference "completed" auctions that actually sold.
BTW I am not interested in the card so my suggestions are not based trying to get a deal from you. I am just interested in making your experience a positive one. |

Thank you for the input but I changed the price and this is about the lowest I can go so I'm not selling the card for $200 I know exactly that it will be graded a 1 this still isn't a cheap card at a 1
