Dad, James R. Gross (1927-2012), in his local "Keystone" uniform, North East PA mining community (c. 1950). My love of Baseball came directly from him.

My wife is at work, the kids are at my in-law's house, and I'm laying on the couch flipping back and forth between World Cup and College World Series. Happy early Father's Day to me!

Father's Day is bittersweet this year. I called my dad but he didn't answer and then sent me a text saying he didn't want to talk to me.

That's my father. Next week I'm sure he will tell me how it was my fault.

Happy Fathers Day to everyone.

My dad played for the Ft. Knox softball team before the war. The war came alone and put a stop to it.
He is top row third from right.

YeS, to All the DaDs... *HaPPy FatherS DaY*

Awesome Picture's Gentleman!

I've been real busy and I'm headed out with my Family to Celebrate.
My Dad Past in the early 90's and my Wife's Dad just a few years Ago...
So I'm it!

I wanted so much to post a Picture of my Dad and his "Blocks Team".That's what they referred to as "Streets" back in the 40-60s in the New York City Area. Kinda cool, in some sort of NY way.

One would ask, "What Block do come from?"
Even if you lived on 24th Street... Go figure, Aye...

Well... Maybe even weird  However, I Love it!

HERE'S DAD'S TEAM PHOTO ~ "WILLIS AVE"

My Dad is the One Right in the Middle Leaning Over with his hands on the two Players in front of him.
(It took me awhile, & I'm Real Glad I found it!)

Hi Ted--

I hope your family treated you to a Fodders Day dinner, you Iron Horse. For those of you who have never met Ted, check the picture in the 1st post of this thread--Ted is on the left. And Ted--next time you get some football cards you want to pass on to me at the same price as the last deal, you know where to find me.

Ron.....my biker Daughter Zoe (Ron's Mom).....me.

Ron's Dad died when Ron was very young. Besides being his Grandfather, I have been a father figure to Ron since the 1990's.
Since I have two Daughter's, Ron has been like a son to me in my older years....and, this has kept me young-hearted.

I taught Ron to play Baseball & Tennis starting at age 4. Ron grew up on an Island off the coast of Maine. For his HS education,
Zoe enrolled Ron at Northwood private school in Lake Placid, NY. Ron was on the Hockey team at Northwood, which played its
games in the famous arena that was the site of the US "Miracle" win over Russia in the 1980 Olympics.
