Newbie

Hi fellow Net54 members,

A little about myself:
I grew up in Michigan and naturally a Detroit Tiger collector. I started collecting baseball cards in 1975 putting together a Topps set along with a Tiger team set annually. I have completed a Tiger team set run of 1949-55 Bowmans and missing only 2 Topps cards from 1952-14 (need 1952 high numbers #354 Hatfield and #370 Hoeft).

Recently I've expanded my Detroit Tiger collecting to 1934 Goudey, 1939-41 Play Ball and 1934-36 Diamond Star. Goggling cards from that era led me to this site. I've been enjoying myself reading all the posts, looking at some great looking cards, and getting an education in the process. I look forward to becoming a valuable member to this site.

Also...any 1962 Ford Motor Company Detroit Tiger postcards out there? Please let me know.

Jim

Welcome Jim, no shortage of Detroit collectors here. I tend to stick with 19th century however and probably have little to offer you unless/until you decide to collect the Wolverines :)

Jim,

Welcome to Net54. In my humble opinion, it is the best website on the Internet for baseball card collectors, especially those who are into Pre-War material.

Best regards,

Eric

Welcome Jim,
Fellow Michigander here, good luck in your searches and you have landed in the right place for collecting and gaining knowledge.
Now, to talk you into press photos. A great, fairly new, field of collecting.

Welcome Jim,
Glad to have another Tiger fan on the board. Hopefully we won't chase the same cards too often.

Do you have any extra Bowmans?
If you decide to complete the Tiger T206 set, I have a couple of extras.

Brent, Sorry I don't have any extra Bowmans. I notice your Air Force logo aviator. You prior AF? I just retired after 26 years.
