SGC Registry looking good, Kudos to Bob Freedman!

Just wanted to give a big thanks to Bob Freedman for quickly responding to my population reports questions on the SGC registry and also for "darkening" the card background for the scans. Looks great guys!!!

Needs work

Well, I'll be patient, but the registry appears to be not ready for prime-time.
Some features look like good additions, others look unnecessary.

The overall visual appeal is better, except that you either cannot zoom in on your scans, or I cannot figure out how.

The site loads pretty poorly on my IPad, but mine is an old one, and I will reserve my final opinion for when SGC says the product is complete...

How do you get the black background on your registry sets -- and the ability to switch between gallery and list views?

Jeff, they were able to darken the shade a bit on the card carousel which helped out alot.

Jeff, there should be a link on the page that allows you to switch, LMK if you do not see it and I will investigate it.

Just figured out several neat things about the registry. If you login under your edit set, you can open up the pop report of your cards, the date you entered them etc. This is getting better and better!!

new/old registry

Bob, the link in my signature goes to the old version of the SGC registry.
http://www.sgccardregistry.com/galle...?cat=6&set=463

Navigating through the new site, I see the link needs to be :

http://www.sgccard.com/customsetcomposition.aspx?id=463

The new one is what I commented about. Most glaring (unless I missed it) is the inability to zoom in on the scans.

Also, I see under the Registry Sets, when you click on "users other sets" you only get the regular sets, not the custom sets. I've only created one custom set (used to be called "The Way I Collect", or something like that). It is the HOF collection from the signature link. I'd like to see all of my sets listed together, custom and regular if possible.

As I commented, some things look pretty cool, and maybe you are still working on the database/pop reports/scan zooming etc, so I will be patient!

Thanks for improving the Registry overall.

oops

Bob, Sorry...I now see the method to zoom in on scans. I was trying it the old way, within the scrolling view ( which I LOVE, btw, so thanks for keeping that)

Collectors, if you want to magnify scans, you need to click the little camera icon next to the listing, not from within the scroll. This brings up a little magnifying glass and larger scans (based on the original scan size)
