Is this card worth grading?
i don't deal much in grading cards and I haven't delved into the 1952 set yet, so I'm a bit clueless on when it's a good idea to grade a card .
I picked it up cheap and it's super clean. The corners are great, but the back is real off center. Do I bother with grading this? Would I get my money back from grading fees if I did? Any advice? http://i812.photobucket.com/albums/z...psc700b6af.jpg http://i812.photobucket.com/albums/z...psb5d7fc5d.jpg |
I would not grade it.

Here's another card. Same question

Both cards are very nice, and personally I would not grade them. You asked if you would get your money back from grading fees if the cards were graded. Are you going to flip them? And no, I do not think you would get your money back as both cards are easily found on ebay and various auctions.

I think it's your decision. I'm not as anti-grading as some of the people on these boards and grading does protect your cards and gives you extra peace of mind in case of a card loss through theft or disaster.
If you think the cards are worth grading, or even borderline. go ahead and get them graded Rich |
Get them graded if you want them graded. You will easily recoup your costs if you decide to sell, they'll be protected from handling, and they'll display well. Nice cards! :)

Grading
I am not a fan of grading myself but I would take Bob's view about stuff in the hobby to the bank in terms of cost recovery

I guess he could always request 'no qulaifiers' but in that case it wouldn't grade any higher than a 5, which sell in the $15 range. http://www.cardtarget.com/ebayauctio...6.190476190476 |
