I bought this game board years ago and just recently noticed that two of the pictures have "grandstand photo" stamped next to it. Anyone have a clue who the players are or have you seen this game board ever?
thanks. Here are the pictures.

The second photo may be Chief Meyers, third photo is Sam Crawford and the seventh is Al Demaree, I'm guessing Fred Merkle is the fifth photo.

So were all these photo's originally on cards?

I really don't know as I am not much of a pre-war card guy. The Demaree and Crawford images were familiar to me from cards. The others may be products of images used for cards as well. The Pre-war forum crowd could probably name all of these players pretty quickly.

I believe the images can all be found in cards or premiums. Several are found in m101-2: your 3B is Donie Bush, Shortstop Arnie Hauser, CF Nixie Callahan, Catcher Ray Schalk and batter Sherry Magee.

Game Board

Nice game board. I've never seen that one before. Very cool. We can probably help you identify the other players if you add more scans and rotate them so they are facing correctly. The 1st baseman looks like Merkle to me.

Thanks Ron, I will try to do that today. I am going to be selling it as I have been selling all my games off on ebay the last few months. I also have a nice Slide Kelly board and a 1942 play ball board. I am going to put them on the bst here as well as on ebay.
