Incredibly interesting piece. Hedges was quite the visionary owner for his time, and was constantly running profits with second division teams. He gave Branch Rickey his first back office position in baseball, and it was his idea for a farm system that was later successfully implemented by Rickey with the St Louis Cardinals.

This is a beautiful stock certificate which is signed by Hedges three times, as he was not only the issuer but also the recipient of the shares.
