Still a lot of good people in the hobby - Dave Schrader - Bagger's Sportscards
I thought I would take a moment to post something to shine a little light on one of the good people working in our hobby, Dave Schrader. I won something in his recent auction, and I had an incorrect shipping address listed in his system. The item got shipped to my old address and was returned to Dave.
I contacted him and gave him the correct address, and told him to let me know how much additional I owe him for having to re-ship. He told me not to worry about it and mailed it back out at his expense. Considering the error was 100% my fault, this is more than generous. May not seem like a lot, but it is something that I will remember when looking to buy and sell cards in the future. I am not surprised that Dave did this - he has always been great to deal with - but I wanted to share in case others haven't dealt with him; he and his company are one of the best out there, and not just for this alone... |
I believe Bagger's was my first major auction house that let me sign up. He is always fair on the shipping and delivers a great product.

Chris--
I concur completely with your assessment. Dave and his wife, Meri, are among the nicest people in this hobby of ours. To wit--I showed Dave some cards a few years ago, we agreed upon a price, and then he said, "Naw, you should get more for those." He promptly upped the final amount. I was fine with the original offer, but he wanted to make certain I was treated fairly. He will always work with a buyer or seller, and that is one of the reasons I consistently buy and sell from him. In this world of arrogant, out of touch people (not card people, of course!), Dave is a breath of fresh air. In fact, I like Dave so much that I am going to make a martini and drink it to his health! Cheers, Mike |
Chris, I agree about Dave.
I would like to give similar props to another auction house when I too forgot to change my address and they had to send my package twice, at no additional expense to me. Some guys named Brockelman and Luckey--perhaps you've heard of them? :) |
Dave's a solid guy & runs a nice auction.
|
Having talked with and bought from Baggers, whether thru their auction house or buying at shows, I have to agree that Dave and Meri are very nice people.

Dave is one of the nicest and most helpful guys in the hobby.

Shriner's show
I've dealt with Dave at the Shriner's show twice in the last two years.
it was a great pleasure. hoping to see him again this November. john |
Both thumbs up for Baggers Auctions.

Dave's a solid citizen. I've gotten a couple of sweet OJs from him and he asked for my want list to look for others. Very fair; very helpful.
|
I've done many trades with Dave over the past few years. He is one of my favorite dealers in this hobby and is as solid as they come.

Big +1 for Dave. One of my favorites.

Always a good experience with him.

I love dealing with Dave. It is always a pleasure.

In a hobby rife with douches and scalawags Dave is a breath of fresh air.

I will throw my hat into the ring for Dave and Meri too. They are certainly some of the best folks in the hobby.
