Zachariah. Looked on ebay the other day, were 80 t213 type 3's and not a single overprint. Looked at completed also with none.

Lew Lipsett mentions the overprints but does not list any names.

One of my goals for this year was to do some research on these cards, but here we are in May and I haven't started yet. I'm glad you posted and if I come across any info I was post it.

I know that there is a Gandil out there as well

I once owned several "8" overprints. I am trying to rack my brain for which ones- I know that I had two Cobbs, a McGraw, a Bender, an Evers, a Merkle and a Doyle but that's all I can remember off hand.

I seem to remember the November, 2013 Goldin Auction having a handful of these including a Chase Throwing. :D:D:D

Zach, I had never heard of these overprints (I'm mostly just a T206 collector).
But now I have to add this overprint card to my wantlist in order to complete the Merkle back run.

Tbob, is the Merkle that you once owned the same one that sold in REA Sunday night?

Hi Rick. Thanks, but the card that you referenced is different from the one that sold in REA. They're two different Merkle Factory 8 Overprints. I was wondering if this one that was in the last REA is the one that tbob once owned.
