1961 Topps Partial Set ~ SOLD
 

For sale is a partial set of 1961 Topps. It included 443 cards with no duplicates. It includes both main Mantle cards.
I would say the set is EX / Vg-Ex but there are some cards on either side.

I tried to include scans of most of the key cards included in the set, but here are a few others included but not scanned: #49 Koufax/Drysdale, #120 Mathews, #265 Kubek, #428 Berra, #443 Snider, #477 Fox, #490 Bunning.

The scans are representative of the condition of the entire lot.
***Hank Aaron card has been signed, but I do not believe it to be an authentic signature.

"Both" Mantles? I think there are five - there's also a World Series, an All Star, and a Baseball Thrills..... :-)

Sent PM - I am still looking but trying to find out how much work there is to complete. There was a full one listed on here the other day but I believe it was around 3500 which was more than I wanted to go.

All cards have clean backs with no wax, writing, stains, paper loss, or other defects other than the following minor issues:

• Some of the checklists have been marked
• 216, 234 & 270- manufacturing roller marks on back
• 220- White "chalky" look to left edge of back (front with heavy wax too)
• 399- tiny piece of food or similar on top boarder
• 508- very minor wax stain along top edge
• 519- tiny piece of "gunk" stuck to bottom edge of card (1/8")

Re: Aaron auto, see original post for details, but I bought it that way & do not believe it to be authentic.

I bought a '52 Topps Mantle RC last week, now I've come across another card I want to buy. Unfortunately, I'm now strapped for cash so I'm looking to move this partial set. If I can sell it tonight or early tomorrow AM (and paid for!) I'd sell for $XXX delivered.
Don't ask if I'd take less, because I absolutely won't.
