Let's see some Federal League Memorabilia!

100 years ago this week, the Federal League opened its inaugural season as a self-professed major league (the league had operated in 1913 as an independent, minor league circuit). To commemorate the anniversary, here are some of my favorite pieces of league memorabilia:

Nate,
I like your post. Very nice Fed collection! Here is my contribution to your thread: Claude Hendrix pitched a no-hitter against the Pittsburgh Rebels on May 15th, 1915. Although Claude Hendrix is not wearing his Chicago Whales uniform in this photo (which predates his stint in the Federal League), the image is one of my favorites. |
Here's a Newark ticket from 8/25/15

This is my only Federal League piece. It is a Type I 1914 John Baxter Barbour who was the president of the Pittsburgh club.

Love how all of the fans are standing....photo bombing is a time honored tradition.

Some great pieces so far. I don't think I've ever seen that BaltFeds postcard.
