WILLARD BROWN fabulous vintage 3x5 signed on the unlined side boldly in fountain pen. Originates from the Henry West collection and is one of the earliest Willard Brown signatures I have ever offered One of the very few early Brown signatures circa 1940's Although he played briefly in the major leagues in 1947 for the Browns he was inducted into the Baseball Hall of Fame in 2006 for his play in the Negro Leagues with the Kansas City Monarchs 1936-44 , 1948-50. A notorious non-signer and very tough autograph he died in 1996 $550.00
