Ball looks a lot like 2005 All Star ball-what ball is it?

yanks12025 03-17-2014 04:16 PM

Says it's a 1992 all star.

MikeKam 03-17-2014 04:36 PM

Bad in my opinion. The end of Williams is especially off.

Big Dave 03-17-2014 04:56 PM

I like how you edited out the "I want to say its real part" of your post ;)

tazdmb 03-17-2014 07:48 PM

Nice catch, that is why I only buy from the best or get IP.

Lordstan 03-17-2014 08:24 PM

The "a" is open. Almost always bad.

shelly 03-17-2014 08:31 PM

It seems as though you have a link for a different ball.

Big Dave 04-03-2014 04:09 PM

Not the same ball, and as an added bonus, the one on Heritage was authenticated by Donald Frangipani.

Where does it say that in their description???

nowhere does it mention frangipani...

Big Dave 04-03-2014 06:04 PM

You are correct, it doesn't state that at all in the description, but the ball has been authenticated by Donald Frangipani.

Really curious, how do you know???

It's been a year or two since I have seen his name anywhere near a piece of sports memorabilia...

Thought he was finished...

Big Dave 04-03-2014 07:17 PM

Look at the seams. You will see his cert number and his initials. The letters are in regard to the person who submitted the item. These could be the first letters of their name, could be the letters of their city or company, etc. The numbers are usually the submission number as in the number of items submitted by this person. The last part..DF..is Donald Frangipani's initials.

That's a great tip, Mark and Shelly. I'll have to watch for the open "a" and "d"s. I didn't know that. At first glance, I thought the sig didn't look too off, but seems like the consensus here has spoken. :)
