CLOSED!! ODDBALL Baseball/Football/Hockey! Ends Wed, 12 Mar at 8:00 MDT

I've got a couple positive responses on my other auction like this, so I'm going to lump a few oddball things together and do it again. I can make some room in my closet (thus making my wife happy) by auctioning these off for a SINGLE card. I will only accept bids of a SINGLE card. Here's the rules:

1) I'll pay shipping
2) There are no cash bids, you have to bid a single card
3) The card you bid must be pre-1970
4) There will be a winner, so if only one person bids a 1969 Denis Menke with a mustache drawn on it, that person wins.
5) In the case of competing bids, I decide the winner
6) I will do my utmost best to pick a leading bid from all bids each morning, so you can bid again if you like.
7) Scans are encouraged
8) I think I have all the rules, but if I forgot something, I have the right to add a rule later.
9) Remember rule #2…you must bid a SINGLE card
10) You must bid on the thread, not by PM

OK, here's the cards:

BASEBALL:
1960 Leaf: #22 (NrMt)
1960 Topps: 212 (Alston, Fr), 230 (Spahn, Gd)
1963 Topps Peel-Off (Al Jackson, Vg)
1969 Deckle Edge: Helms (Ex), Koosman (Vg)
1970 Fleer: 1 (Vg), 22 (Ex), 40 (Vg)
1970 OPC: 468 (Vg), 469 (Vg)
1970 Topps: 168 (Vg), 170 (B Williams, Pr for small mark on front), 171 (Vg), 173 (Vg), 175 (Vg), 176 (Gd), 177 (Vg), 179 (Fr), 181 (Fr, Sparky A), 184 (Gd), 186 (Vg), 187 (Pr), 192 (Pr), 193 (Vg), 194 (Vg)
1976 OPC: 45 (Vg), 48 (Ex)

1969 Denis Menke with a mustache drawn on it

Sweet!

I knew I should have said a '52 Mantle with a stash...either way, you're the high bidder so far!

Cheers,
Geno

Geno--

Shouldn't you have to show the card you are bidding? How do you know Mike's card isn't a fake?:D:D

Menke bid

I trust him…why would you lie about that? Of course, a Ron Santo with a mustache would obviously outbid a Menke, so he may wish to keep close tabs on this one.

Guess I will start with the 55 LeBaron on this one too, lol

Cool, the Lebaron is the high bid heading into the last day! I'll try to update it again tonight before I head to the Blackhawks game….depends on when I get home from work.

Cheers,
Geno

OK, I'm off to watch my Blackhawks battle the hometown Avalanche, so this is the last update. As much as I love Santo, and am horrified to think the HOF waited until he was dead to enshrine him (he was as deserving as BRobby), I'm going to go with the Lebaron card as the high bid with three hours left. Nothing against Ronnie, but I have way too many of his cards already!

Thanks for looking!

Go Hawks!!

Winner, Winner, Chicken Dinner!

OK, I have a soft spot in my heart for 1953s, so the Runnels is the winner! Thanks for bidding, guys! I'll PM you, Fred.

Cheers,
Geno
