1933 Goudey Ruths & Gehrigs Questions
Can anyone put the four Ruths in order in terms of relative scarcity and/or value discrepancies?
Same question on the Gehrigs - is one more sought after than the other? Thanks |

I thought 144 was double printed.

I think the red and yellow are tougher than the double printed batting pose. And I wasn't aware of inferior stock used on the yellow background pose either? |

If there are twice as many 144s, how can 149 be easier?

With the Gehrig, value is somewhat similar in the lower grades, with the #160 getting a small premium. In NM or better, the #160 appears to be a bit tougher than the #92, and the gap widens in price.
For the Babe: 53 149 144 181 the 144 Ruth is DP, but is tougher to find in high grade than the 181. |
