Fake or Real-Babe Ruth Card
Seen this on ebay. Story sounds legit but card looks artificially aged to me.

Dosnt look to good to me, but there are experts here on these candy cards. Some whete here there is a thread with real ones and fake ones side by side.

You do not want to buy that card.
If you have an agreement with the seller that he will accept a return if it doesn't grade or if it is deemed not authentic (a black light should do it) then you might put in a bid. I think it would not grade and you're buying a hassle on trying to get your money back. |

I realize most folks don't look over there but this very thread being talked about is permanently located in the Net54baseball Archive section, near the bottom. (last icon on the right on every page). The card in question is a fairly poor reprint. |
This artificially aged reprint looks eerily similar to one i saw at the Houston Tristar show. It was situated next to an artificially aged reprint of a Ruth M101-5 Sporting News.....
|
Looks to be a reprint. There are many issues with the San Fran backs if I remember correctly most if not all are reprints along with the size of the number being to small compared to the real ones. Just my 2 cents.
