What is A Babe Ruth Autograph Worth signed only....

Babe?

If a cut from a signed letter, I'm guessing $1,200 with PSA or JSA cert.

That much eh? Hmm....Hopefully I'll have a scan I can share here soon. Guy I've done business with in the past is supposed to send me scans tonight. He is aware that Ruth didn't always sign for himself so I'd like to get opinions on that as well.

I think so, just because it's an affordable Ruth - if someone wants Ruth, and wants it bad enough to think it's real, then $1,200 is better than $3,000 for a full name. Without PSA or JSA, I would guess you might be able to get $300 for it. The problems are that it's probably the easier of his names to forge, and I'm guessing it's a cut from a signed letter, meaning almost no context.

Obviously, there are many people on the forum much better qualified to guess, but I've been watching Super Bowl coverage for two weeks and finally getting worn out.

Obviously it depends on quality but I'd say that's low. I would put the minimum at $1800 for a crappy, authentic example.

Okay, just got the scan and Ruth didn't even sign the letter at all...anyone have a value on what this might be worth...want to give the guy a fair offer. Also do you guys think this letter is actually signed by Dizzy Dean? You can PM if you don't want to answer here.

Certainly appears to be Ruth's handwriting. Maybe a few hundred?

Appears to be Deans auto but I'd think that's a rare variation. JH instead of Dizzy.

Thanks for your help, any opinions on value of the Dean auto?

The handwriting looks like Ruth to me. Shame he didn't sign his name.

The Ruth letter is worth what someone is wiling to pay, but I think it would be quite a bit more than a few hundred--especially considering the fan-friendly content. I'd say at least $1000.

Too bad he didn't live on Babe Ruth Drive. :D

Babe Ruth Drive is in Sudbury, MA....not too far from me and a street over from where Babe lived (Dutton Rd.)

Now that it's not actually a 'Babe' signature, but a letter with his handwriting, I would agree with you.
