Felipe Alou - Type I press photo

It's a 5"x7" Type I press photo from the collection of the Minneapolis Tribune featuring a young Felipe Alou as a member of the Minneapolis Millers. The photo was used in newsprint publication at the time bearing a newspaper clipping and a MAR 29 1957 stamp date on the reverse. Alou only played in 24 games with the Millers, so any image of him in a Millers uniform is likely pretty rare. Is that a 1938 team photo with Ted Williams signed?
About 20 years ago I worked with a woman who brought in a photo to work for me to look at knowing I was a baseball fan. It was a signed 1938 Millers team photo that she found in a used book she bought. I was honest and informed her it was probably worth a bit of money. I know she sold it, but I don't remember the specifics. |
