This stuff is out of my realm of knowledge, (to new) but when I saw all the baseball goodies I just started grabbing :). I believe most of this stuff was acquired by the gentleman himself at the time period...
I am not an autograph guy so I do not know if any of this stuff is authenticate? I am hoping to learn about what I have and see if I picked up something of real value? I see Koufax, Aaron, Niekro...? At the least, thought everyone would enjoy. I will be posting more in the next few days as I go through it. |
Just a few!

Here are a few of a Bunch of tickets....

Cool looking program with tons of signatures. Just FYI the ball is a machine stamped souvenir.
|
Autographs look great. Nice pickup

Another Ball

I was not sure if they were facsimiles or not? One question about the Balls... Do they stamp the leather before or after its made into a ball? Reason I ask is that I see ink on the threads....
What about this one? |
Unfortunately that one is stamped as well.

Football

Thanks everyone,
Jeff, thank you - I removed most of the scans of the balls - no need in a bunch of junk. Here is a sampling of some Fulton High School football programs (over 40!) from the 1950s. I do not believe they have a lot of value but I love the Graphics.... |
Nice haul...always worth scouring the high school programs for famous names.
|
Autos
I see Lindy McDaniel, Ray Sadecki, Ernie Broglio, Maury Wills, Doug Camilli, Jim Gilliam, Walter Alston, Sandy Koufax x2, Joe Moeller Wally Moon, Norm Sherry, Tommy Davis a few I can't tell.

Third Ball :) Southern Conference

Ok, surely these are legit signatures... :)
I know nothing about this ball - Looks like its fairly recent to me like 1990s? Are these high school kids or is there something more to this ball? Thanks again everyone, |
It's a college baseball...not sure which team, but teams like Chattanooga, The Citadel and Samford are in the Southern Conference.
|
That one is definitely legit. College ball probably, I see Mark Teixeira on there.
|
Texeira played at Georgia Tech...not in the Southern Conference, but no doubt GT had Southern Conference teams on their non-con schedule.

cool dodger program! I didn't realize Lena Horne was a lefty
. |
Cool!
Imagine going to a garage sale in January! Here is Wisconsin we are up to our asses in snow and we won't see a garage sale until late March.
Might be worth a trip to Atlanta just to go garage saleing. (Is that a word?) Nice stuff. I love the Sands autographed thing. Rick |
Rob......hopefully our earlier successful transaction doesn't wind up in my name being added to your signature.....LOL.....just noticed that....I'm a schosh behind..........funny stuff
Agree with Rob on the facs balls......they are collectible. Generally in the $10-$40 range depending on team, condition, etc. Have seen them sell for more than that too......... Love the high school FB program graphics too and the tickets are cool...... |
That's funny... You guys are right - I need to start looking at the Facs balls in a different light. Its just when I was a child we did not think twice about them and I guess that still lingers in my mind.
As far as cold.... Its quite cold for Ga. these days - Todays high is 32 & low 19, I cannot believe people are have yard sales or even estate sales for that matter. I have been hitting both and even though Estate sales are inside - attendance is way down. Some people have no choice though I guess... I have a lot more to show - didn't just pick up baseball stuff either - I got many old covers, stamps, basketball & football cards that I think are 1969 & 70... I will post as time allows, thanks for the comments everyone. |
I could be wrong but it looks like Mark Teixeira on the top of that side panel on the last baseball.
Maybe a college ball? Teixeira wore number 23 on the Rangers. It might even be a Rangers ball. |

The last ball is definitely Georgia Tech, probably late 1990s or early 2000s. Teixeira was there until being drafted in 2001 I think. I see Danny Hall on the sweet spot. He's been the coach at Tech since the mid 1990s. |
