Leon, look at it this way, your age is the same as weeks in a year and cards in a deck. ;)

This topic has been discussed a million times...39 here.

tschock 01-19-2014 09:33 AM

If we do this in a few months again, I'll have to change my vote. :(

Section103 01-19-2014 09:34 AM

I prefer to think of mine as "Hank Aarons number".

rgpete 01-19-2014 09:36 AM

52 here and still collecting baseball cards over 40 years

Jacklitsch 01-19-2014 09:39 AM

65 but much older in dog years!!!!!!!!!!!!!

GoldenAge50s 01-19-2014 10:19 AM

Remember when you were a kid & someone would say "Are you really 9 yrs old now?" and you'd get all excited & say "NO, I'm 9 and a HALF"!!

Well, I'm 73--and a HALF now, but somehow I can't quite get as excited anymore!:)

Sadly, I only fall into one of the age categories, 55.

But I'm proudly living inside the Dakotas-Ohio region! :D

Depending on how you are looking at it, everyone.
I am sure we have a few younger guys hiding out somewhere.....even besides Waz :)

toppcat 01-19-2014 12:54 PM

The 26-33 demo is encouraging - I'm the same age as Leon, a very young 52

I have chatted a few times with 10 year old at the White Plains show. He collects NY Giant T206 with Piedmont 350 backs. Saw him yesterday he bought a nice Matty dark cap. He told me he reads this board.

jimhopkins82 01-19-2014 01:37 PM

Happy early birthday!

I just turned 43 this month myself :)

Sincerely, Clayton

P.S. Wasn't there an old saying "young enough to want to, but old enough to know better"? :p (or something like that)

the 'stache 01-20-2014 03:32 AM

My actual age? See below.

I'm 68 and counting

I'm 68 years young. But when I look at my cards and see all my childhood heros I feel like I'm 12 years old again. Flipping cards against the school at lunchtime. Cards in the spokes of my bike and all those rubber bands to keep them together. So much fun. Laying in my bed at night with stacks of 52's and 53's sailing them up over my closet door to see if I could make them lean on the door frame. They were much larger than "regular" cards so I didn't care if Yogi, Mickey and The Duke got rounder corners. But always protected my Red Sox Jackie jenson, Ted Lepcio and Mel Parnell's to mention a few. Who says you can't go back again... Happy collecting to you all...Jim

So you'll be turning 53? If you're turning 54 you'll be ending your 54th year on this planet. :)

Maybe members could put their ages in their signature lines, right below their lists of trusted sellers. It would be nice to see ages displayed in years-months-days, with updates made daily.
