Which T206 would you choose between these two...

Kelley - cleaner back, lower population, but off center
Collins - higher profile player than Kelley and pretty good centering but higher population, more soiled (especially the back), and the mark off to the left of his face on the front Thanks in advance for the advice. |
Collins
Love the portrait !!
|
Collins for me. More eye appeal even with the scratch/scuff on the front. And I'm probably in the minority but I just don't consider the backs of cards much. A buying decision for me , I might put 2% outlook into the back of the card. But that's just me. We all collect differently :)

Collins because of the better centering
|
I would be buying for the back, and in this case I would lean toward the Kelly card because of the condition and registration of the back. I would also be very careful about price as the card is not well centered on the front.
I would not be too interested in the Collins because of visible damage to the front of the card. Appears seriously over-graded to me. Will stop there... |

Jeff- I would also agree with Collins, especially if the price on both cards is the same. They both certainly got the benefit of doubt on grade from PSA IMO. That's not paper loss to the left of Collins head is it? If so, different story....
|
Kelley...but centering typically doesn't come into play when I am judging cards. That scrape on the Collins is just too distracting for me, especially considering how high it graded. I wouldn't want to pay VG-EX prices for the Collins.

It's not paper loss, but I'm not sure what the hell it is...

I would take Kelly... Because of the back... And because that pose reminds me of a good buddy of mine!
|
I would take the Kelley. That mark on Collins seriously detracts from it's appeal for me.
|
I'd go with Kelley.
|
Get both!
|
I'd take the Kelley.
Kelley is off centered left to right, but the Collins card is off centered top to bottom. |
Kelly
i would buy the Kelly. I would not be happy with the mark on the front of the Collins.

Neither. Both appear to be overgraded, and both have distracting flaws that are deal breakers.
|
I like them both but would pick the Kelley if I could only get one, being OC doesn't bother me. Great combinations!! Good luck-
Sincerely, Clayton |
Collins
|
Kelley- due to the cleaner back.
|
Collins. For the following reasons:
1) it's a portrait 2) better player 3) better background color 4) better centering 5) back centering not that much of a factor for me since I display all my cards. |
I would take the Kelly. The card looks so much better. OC Really doesn't matter to me (No factory production problem trumps post factory problem in my opinion)
|
Both cards look pretty good, but if I had to choose one it would be Kelley. The scuff on Collins takes away from the appeal somewhat and OC cards don't bother me.
But in the end, pick which card YOU like. To each his own... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |
If all other things are even ($$$, need for card, etc) I take the Collins. As stated before the centering is key along with him being a better player. The mark on the front doesn't hinder the appeal to me when compared to the off centeredness of the Kelly
|
i find it hard to buy cards that are not front and back centered. i would take the collins.

Kelley. Cleaner card front and back.
