OK – trying to understand what's going on with McAuliffe tagging on Oakland A's jerseys.


MEARS authenticated a 1975 Reggie Jackson A’s jersey with a blue border McAuliffe tag;

Dave Miedema authenticated a 1975 Reggie Jackson A’s jersey without a blue border McAuliffe tag;

Lon Lewis did quite a study of the McAuliffe tagging. That study was done on another site so I won't provide a link to that site.

So, what’s the deal? Did the 1975 A's use McAuliffe made jerseys having both styles of tags? Just trying to figure it all out.
