Opinions on the GT Sports Marketing Show
Hey all,
GT Sports Marketing has a show coming to my region, the Kansas City area, in February 2014. It sure seems like it could be a great show to buy vintage, quality goods. I'm a '52 collector and have longed for a good show where I can get some deals, or perhaps find a nice 52 HOFer or high number for my set. PSA/DNA will be there, which would seem to bode well. But I see it's mainly being marketed as an autograph show, and sports cards. Have any of you attended one of the shows put on by this organization? What would you say was the quality and quantity of dealers offering quality vintage? http://www.gtsportsmarketing.com/ |
I don't know them, and could wrong, but just from looking around their website I don't see anything that would suggest postwar vintage. Maybe you might find autographed postwar vintage. I don't know, they look heavy on the autographs and modern. You can always email them.

Their Dallas area card shows
Don't have much in the way of cards. Roger Neufeldt has done the show the past 2 years --- I chronicled his adventure 2 years ago where he was literally the only game in town and had an incredible weekend. Last year there were a few more card dealers.
Admission was $10. which for what we wanted to do as collectors was a rip |
Luckily Friday admission is free, which is when I'll be going... :)
