I flipped thru a bunch of Spalding Guides that have ads for various equipment including bats. This review is by no means scientific as Spalding could have had many other models that were not shown in the early guides, but the first time the B-3 shows up is the 1914 Record Book - also in the 1915 guide. There are no images of the actual bat, just the description below. The B series bats are "taped bats". Do yours show signs of tape?
The real question is, what is the dash dot dash H&B bat at the top of your photo? No doubt far more interesting bat than the Spaldings!
