ebay 1953 Mantle authentic?
 
Does this make sense? Seller says card is authentic but SGC wouldn't grade due to the paper loss. I've seen cards with worse paper loss then this graded, so that seems odd. He included the note from SGC and it appears to me that it might actually be saying it couldn't be verified as authentic. Am I reading this wrong?

Stay away from it. And how do we know that "note" is authentic?

What if the seller got the note slabbed as AUTHENTIC? Would that work? :cool:

The seller says the card grades as authentic which it does not, he also says the card couldn't be slabbed because of paper loss which the note does not say. I would stay away.
