Intercollegiate League Cabinet 1889

Forgive me if this has already been brought up, I wasn't able to find a thread on it today if it has. I was thinking this would go quite a bit higher, I was surprised to see I was the 2nd bidder on it. Just doesn't seem like you find something like this everyday - and I love the stamps (appear to be stamps or something similar) on the back, adds a personal touch.

Also wondered if Tim Keefe was pictured with the Amherst team here as a coach? I see one guy that looks somewhat the same? I believe he helped coach the team in 1888 and '89.

Nice piece, would have liked to have had it, maybe someone from here got a nice deal on it.

Cool piece - my snipe didn't even register.

I don't think the names/images on the stamps relate to the notes below, but they could be a key to a more detailed description of the perpetrator, details and real photos kept in a book;i.e-this piece would have been hanging on a police department wall with the stamp-side facing out.

Wow!

I really like this piece as well. I don't know what is going on with the back, but I like all the stamps and detail. My favorite, is the Horse thief from Ohio. What the heck is up with the back stamps & writing? Really unique piece. The collage of college teams is sweet as well. Wished I owned this cabinet. :(

The stamps on the back all say "Eastman College" on them...the "Charges" leveled under each stamp are just a joke. This is a very cool cabinet photo...I did not see it when it was live on ebay.

On closer inspection I believe the stamps were placed over photos...so probably at one time it was used by the police, but was later used as a joke.
