Legendary Auction Wins....
1 Attachment(s)
I was hoping to snag a nice e107 for my collection tonight now that I'm collecting the set again. A couple of my favorite commons I was targetting went for over 3k each, but I was thrilled to pick up a gorgeous looking e107 Isabel which ranks up there amongst the very nicest e107s that I've seen. Eh, I'm probably not ready to be spending 3k a pop on e107 commons anyways. :)
Anyone else have good luck tonight? Attachment 122248 |
Brian
Agreed. That is a nice one. |
Very happy to pick up the 1925 Hilldale (Negro League) team photo. Was also in on the action for the 1900 Pirates cabinet w/Wagner but got too pricey for me...........

Nice Brian...

I forgot they even had an auction last night. I wish there was a program that could remind you of all the auctions that happen around us. Sometimes it's too many to keep up with. I am always getting one catalog or another in my mailbox!

Not a program, but it uses less trees! |

Phil - I was in on the Hilldale photo for a while. Thought it would slip under the radar, but not happening. I found team photos of the Hilldale team in the 1917, 1924 and 1925 Reach Guides. They could be in more and I might have missed them. |

If anyone here won any of the large t205 lots and want to unload any, let me know.

Legendary
Brian,
Great pickup on the E107. That card has great registration and perfect centering. I though maybe it was you that won the Type 2 Waddell, but I guess not. I think some of the E107 commons that were around $3K were cards that some of the whales needed for their collections. There was quite a bit of activity on those lots. Just a hunch. I'm curious as to what the E107 Matty and T210 Jackson end up at tonight. I'm going to say $80K for the Matty, and $110K on the Jackson. Best of luck to all who are bidding. Tony |

Might be one in the 1926 guide as well, not quite sure, but I think that would be it for those though. |
I won a few nice things last night. I tried to win a single E107 just because I liked the image but gave up when 3.5k was the next bid for a VG type card.

T3 Turkey Red lot of 33
Hi,
If anyone here won the T3 Turkey Red lot tonight (33 cards) and will be breaking the lot, there are a few I'd be interested in. Please touch base with me. Thanks in advance. Best, Craig |
I picked up the lot of 16 B18's sewed together - sold my Jackson years ago, so thought I'd pick up a cheapy. Also, I consigned a few book lots - happy with $650 for Matty books and $500 for Cobb's Busting 'Em. Good sellers auction this time.

Hi all, I've been a stranger (haven't posted since March of last year, and then a long time before that). Unfortunately, my economic situation has pretty much moved me out of vintage card collecting the past few years. I'm shamelessly plugging the lot I won to flip. I won the 1921 E253 Oxford Confectionery lot of 10. When I get them, I'll post them first on B/S/T and then on eBay if any are left.
Happy Thanksgiving, everyone! - David 1921 E253 Oxford Confectionery |
Thanks Derek, We'll see how long I can keep it for I have to keep that invoice away from the wife. lol.

If anyone on the board picked up the Oxford Confectionery lot of 10, I'm interested in dupes. Thanks.
Cheers, Mike PS--Wonka where you hiding? |

Somehow didn't know about this auction. Looking at it now, seems like a lot of nice pre-war cards went cheap. Congrats to those who cashed in!
