Cards that are tough to find centered.

I'm a sucker for nicely centered cards. Cobb's E93 Standard Caramel issue seems to be commonly found off-centered to the right. Post up a card that was difficult, or has been difficult, for you to find nicely centered.

Wow that centering is outstanding. Great card.

Sorry, these are post-war but I know that they are both very tough to find centered........

When I was working aggressively on the 1938 Goudey set, the card #271 Joe Vosmik was nearly impossible to find without a tilt. Most were very pronounced, but it seemed like the card was nearly impossible to find without even a slight tilt.

Some examples:

I've never examined a second series uncut sheet, but the only thing I could think of was that maybe the card was actually tilted on the sheet or something. Nearly every example I've ever seen has this tilt, even if its ever-so-slight.

If anyone has a centered 1948-49 Leaf Pete Reiser I would love to see it.

This one is the closest to being centered that I have ever seen.

Sorry post war and Hockey....but there are many...advanced collectors and even TPG's that don't know what "centered" is on 54 Topps Hockey. Dave.

T205 Kirb White

Not only is it a fairly difficult card in the set to obtain in any condition, I can tell you from many, many years of experience, that the T205 Kirb White, for whatever reason, is a very difficult card to find even close to centered. There are very few high grade examples around. The card in the REA set break-up, was the most centered example I've seen, in a PSA 5 or higher.

I think I will nominate a set. A lot of examples come to mind of the E220s.

Haha, reminds me of this funny, entertaining, and slightly controversial thread about green portrait Cobbs and their centering from awhile ago.

Here's a few tough ones, although all not perfectly centered, and all not exactly "prewar"...

Great cards Chuck!! The centering on the DiMaggio can be all over the place.

Most times even nice T205 Cobbs aren't centered real well...shown 1001 times but still fits...though it's a bit o/c top to bottom..
