Bogus 1979 topps wax packs on ebay
 

I noticed a seller on ebay with what seem to be an endless supply of 1979 topps wax packs, after a short investigation i decided to get involved and purchased one of the packs when i opened the pack the cards seem nm or acceptable however the piece of gum was the thin type from the 80s plusthe seal was over done, i found out that he had purchased large amountsof 79 commons from newengalnd------ so i filed a claim, when escaleded
ebay refunded my money within an our of doing so

Nice work Jose....did this seller have a response to your findings?

He just said there was no reason to file a claim,
to just send the pack back if still unopened, if still unopened how did i know
the piece of gum was from the mid 80s
if anybody has proof of tampering as i did, you don't have to send nothing
back to win the case!

I had purchased two packs from this person over the summer. I wrote to him after reading this thread and reading his recent negative feedback. He was very obnoxious and said just because 1 person made an unproven claim doesn't make them fake. Unfortunately, my purchase was from a couple of months ago so I can't get my money back, but I definitely am alerting ebay about this guy and user bruingirl2007.
