1921 Leader Theatre Pat Shea SGC 60--$1750
 

Offered is an uber-tough 1921 Leader Theatre card of Giants pitcher Pat Shea, graded SGC 60. Price is $1750.00 shipped.

The card is mislabeled as being from 1922. There are in fact some Leader Theatre cards from 1922 –they resemble the W573 and E120 cards also issued that year. These too are tough. By contrast, this Shea resembles the E121 and W575-1 cards from 1921. PSA has graded ZERO of these, and SGC’s pop reports shows that it has graded one–Heinie Groh. Again, mine is mislabeled so there are at least two 1921 Leader Theatres, and I do not know if SGC mislabeled any others so as to give an inaccurate tally. Either way the card is legitimately scarce, and I doubt there are many out there graded or otherwise. The card presents nicely, with fairly sharp corners and decent centering, but with some light toning on the reverse–all readily seen from the scan.
