If I were going to have a Joe Jackson auto this would be one I would consider. I am not the consignor nor do I know who it is....

I was thinking about this for fun. I have a reasonably nice autograph collection having collected for more than two decades.

Jackie Robinson, Ty Cobb, Mantle, Ted Williams, Koufax, Ali, Jordan, Gretzky, Chamberlain, etc, along with hundreds of the HOFs from the four big sports that most nice collections have.

But I think I'd trade in all of it for this Joe Jackson and just attempt to start over again.

If there is a math guy can you tell me if I cashed that twenty five dollar check in 1919 what it would be worth today if I had it in a saveings account?:)

Calculate the value of $25 in 1919.
Inflation Calculator

Value: $347.88

Annual Inflation: 2.84%
Total Inflation: 1291.52%

There sure are a lot of Green-Joyce M101-5s in that auction. Wonder if that was a new discovery or newly crossed over. The PSA population report, while certainly not the absolute word, only shows seven total cards with the Green Joyce back.

I think it was a new find of them. Up until this find they might have been the scarcest, now it's a toss up.

What do all of think the Jackson auto will end up as? I think around $75,000. I know I would pay that much to add it to my collection.

Joe Jackson auto PSA/DNA

Just wondering? Do we take it as a given that a Joe Jackson auto certified by PSA/DNA..will always be perceived to be the real deal..and will always warrant the top of the market price?

Just came across one that is certified by PSA/DNA..beautiful piece...but then you never know. Autograph is on a postcard that has Joe Jackson reaching for a ball.

Considering a purchase of this item...but, it is a lot of money.

Am I wrong in assuming that a piece like this should still be authenticated by another party like JSA?

What an amazing piece that was. I was thinking 100k. But not surprised at all with the 123k hammer. Outstanding signature.

Depends - what is his track record authenticating Jackson signatures? ...or PSA's?
