reliable grading company - authenticating autos
 

im not much into autos, and have never posted on this side of the board, but had some questions about authenticating autos.

Im looking to buy a cheep piece - but, as a met fan its something I would like to have - But would want the autos to be real. So questions are...

Is JSA and becket affiliated?

Is JSA a reliable grading company when it comes to autos?

any help would be ...helpful.

Forget those other wannabees.

O yea i know that, its just the photo im looking to buy is already jsa graded.

It's been discussed ad naseum on these boards but just to repeat the mantra, no authenticating company is 100% perfect.

That being said, JSA and PSA are at least the most widely accepted and respected (by most ;) ) of the third party authenticators. So you are going to be reasonably safe.

But as Big Dave said, there are quite a few knowledgeable folks on this board so post a picture or a link to the item you are interested in and you'll get no shortage of opinions.

The best authenticator you can get is an experienced, honest dealer who is selling you the autograph.

There is a tremendous supply of legitimate Mookie Wilson/Bill Buckner items in the marketplace; therefore the "bad guys" are not out there creating forgeries.

Feel comfortable that the ones you cited are authentic.
