FS: M101 Haserot's Erie Coffee (only 1 out of 6 remaining)

I started a thread about these a little more than a month ago. Based on the responses and ensuing conversations with other collectors, I've not found or heard of anyone who has seen these before.

These are yet more cards I'm helping to sell from a collection that was put together 30-40 years ago by a good friend and very knowledgeable collector.

Here's the original post with scans:

One important note: I debated about sending these to a third-party grading service, but after talking to a few people whose opinions I trust and who have more experience with TPGs and their policies, I've decided not to. (Repeat: These have never been submitted to any TPG.) Quite simply, I do not have faith in any TPG's ability to tell the different between a vintage authentic back stamp and one that was added later to deceive. My feeling was that any TPG would have very little to gain by slabbing these and more to lose, especially because to my knowledge they would have no exemplars of the stamp. I just think that a TPG would be in "cover our butts" mode and decide not to grade them. I could be wrong about that stance, but knowing the provenance of these cards, I have no doubt that they are authentic. If I didn't think that, I wouldn't sell them.

For the reasons above, I'm selling these with no guarantee that a TPG will grade them. If you're not comfortable with that, please do not consider buying one.

If you have any questions, feel free to PM or email me.

A commitment to buy takes precedence over an ongoing negotiation.

One bump for this thread. The Burt Shotton, St. Louis Browns card is the only one that remains from the original six. The other five sold quickly, with the prices right in line with the $750 that's on the Shotton. That being said, I want to get this sold, so I'm open to reasonable offers.

Thanks, Rob
