Robert Edward Auctions Fall Auction Ends Tomorrow!

***The REA Fall Auction Ends Tomorrow! - Full Details Can Be Found in Post #37***

The preview for the REA Fall Auction is now posted. All 1148 lots are available for viewing at the following link:

http://bid.robertedwardauctions.com

We are introducing a brand new virtual "page-turning" catalog which will be posted to our homepage tomorrow. It will be a fully searchable, interactive version of our standard printed catalog. Hard copy catalogs will begin arriving to bidders early next week. If you've never received our catalog but are interested in receiving one, you can request a copy on our website.

In addition to loading the virtual catalog tomorrow, we'll be double checking everything posted to the site. Bidding is scheduled to open early next week, but if everything goes smoothly tomorrow, we may be able to open bidding earlier than anticipated. While the auction is in preview, you can save items to your watchlist for easy access when bidding opens.

If you've forgotten your bidder number, you can retrieve it here.

If you've forgotten your password, you can retrieve it here.

If you are not registered for the auction but would like to participate, you can register by filling out the registration form on our website.

If you have any questions about how the auction works or specific items in the auction, please feel free to e-mail us at info@robertedwardauctions.com.

As always, we appreciate the support of our bidders and consignors and look forward to another very successful event!

I love the Old Judge porn section. Some rare cards, couple big lots and the ad poster!

sycks22 09-26-2013 10:10 PM

Another great auction. Mailmen around the country aren't excited to break their backs with those catalogs, but I'm excited to get mine.

You too? I'm glad it wasn't just me who was having this problem! Hopefully they fix it

REA and T205

Just got done looking through REA's fall auction. Very nice stuff there, but especially impressed with the high-end T205's. I've collected T205 cards before, and I must say it is quite difficult to find quality, high-grade material with that set. Might have to make a bid or two...or three...okay, maybe four! :D lol! Shoeless

pawpawdiv9 09-27-2013 01:39 PM

Just looked thru a few pages, in order to skip thru the old junk that grandpa use to have. Used the search function- no way looking at all those pages to just view the post-war. Thats where my credit card resides.

Maybe you ought to use the search function to find the post-war section of this message board, then.

Mine arrived in eastern PA today. About a third of the size of a typical REA spring catalog, but no shortage of beautiful cards.

Catalog was just delivered a moment ago here in the outskirts of British Siberia. Very well done as always and will be added to my baseball library once the auction is over.
Note to Rob Lifson: Give that Dwyer kid a raise. He's a good one.

ScottFandango 10-09-2013 02:41 PM

how can there not be ONE E90-1 card in the entire auction???

its THE MAIN CARAMEL ISSUE, it needs to be represented....

usually there is a joe Jackson card at least....

maybe next spring:(

edit to add :Brian thanks for showing me the link for the Joss...strange but I cant get that card to come up when I search e90-1

"how can there not be ONE E90-1 card in the entire auction???"

Consign a group and there will be more. I'm sure Rob would be happy with additional caramel cards.

Good luck guys. What is the bet on the closing time---I say 3:58 EDT

calvindog 10-18-2013 06:07 PM

Well, the big auction usually ends around 4:30 to 5 am? I think 3 am is the under/over.

Sean 10-18-2013 06:56 PM

Does anyone know if the Net54 chatroom will be up and running during the end of the auction?

It won't be up then......Still have not gotten it done. It's not as easy as one would think and I don't have the technical ability. I will pay someone for their time to install one, and any s/w and/or hosting needed, if anyone that is very technical wants to earn some extra money? We run Vbulletin s/w and it's just about the largest forum s/w in the world. There is a ton of support for it. PM if interested. Regardless, I will do my best to get it done before the big REA auction. We had it for the last big REA but only about 15-20 people were in it....

oldjudge 10-19-2013 12:40 AM

That's a good market Jeff. I would take the over.

calvindog 10-19-2013 06:30 AM

LOL on an REA auction's ending time the safe bet is always the over.

ullmandds 10-19-2013 08:07 AM

I have a feeling people will be beating each other up over those Helmars until the wee hours of tomorrow!

If you are talking about the new "Helmars", they might be. I think they are neat but aren't something I would personally spend too much on. They are nice though....To me they are more art than cards...

GregMitch34 10-19-2013 08:16 AM

somehow I can't find the buyers premium info on their site......

spacktrack 10-19-2013 08:50 AM

There is an 18.5% Buyer's Premium. The BP information and any other auction specifics can be found in the Terms & Conditions.

MVSNYC 10-19-2013 09:49 PM

Fast bidding now. fun night...good luck everyone.

Maybe this is just me, but I was kinda surprised to see the modern Helmars appear in the REA auction. The cards are currently well above the opening bid, so people are interested in them. But they just didn't seem like something I would expect to see in REA.
