1913 Wright and Ditson Track Shoes

Among my Brimfield pickups, this lot was one of my favorites. Below are pictures of a pair of track shoes worn by a pole vaulting athlete at Andover Academy in 1913. Amazingly, the Wright and Ditson tag is still intact. In addition to the shoes, I also got a photo of his room (with some really cool sports stuff on the walls) and several real photo postcards including one shown below (the rest are baseball).
