That is amazing! I would love to see something like that in person. I'm also surprised to see this going from artist to auction, as most of this artist's previous stadium models were done on commission.

I'll be curious to see what the final price on this puppy.

Amazing. Is there a web-page where we can see his other ball field models as well?

bostonmarathonman 09-01-2013 12:09 AM

great piece, but....

"Manufacturers" is misspelled on the "Manufacturers trust company" sign (it says "Manufactuers") (or maybe it was misspelled on the actual sign in ebbets field??). Other than that, its great!!

If you are in or near Chicago Steve would be happy to show you the model. If you are in the NY area you can see my similar Steve Wolf model of 2009 Yankee Stadium.

There is a big announcement on his site about work being redone on the site but some of the links will show you other models he has done.

Steve's website is:

Wow, great catch! I forwarded your reply to Steve. He called right away and told me he was upset at himself for the error. He will be fixing it immediately.

It's a typo. If you can zoom in on this photo, you can see the word ends in 'rers'. Doesn't diminish the work at all.
