question on T206 miscut
I have been collecting Luther "Dummy" Taylor for many years and I have over 50 T206 of him. I never had paid over 40 dollars for SGC 20 T206 Taylor but I felt I had to have this one because its different from the others i have. I could call this miscut. I end up paid 50.77 for this one, ouch i know but I couldnt let this one go.
Did this one went so high because of the off-centering, miscut? Very curious on your thoughts. I noticed the colors frame are bit off too. http://www.ebay.com/itm/1910-Piedmon...vip=true&rt=nc Thanks, Danny |
Sure the 20% increase in price May have been due to the slightly miss cutback... If it were a really unusual back Miscut It would have sold for 20 to 30 times that.

I see nothing unusual on that card that would warrant any kind of premium.

I'm with Erick on this. I would guess you simply had someone else bidding who wanted it slightly less than you.
|
I'd say it is undergraded and has nice sharp corners for a 20. Could be a 30 or 35. Sgc hammers centering, front and backs.
|
It is graded a 30. The better question is why do you have 50 of these cards.:)

Thanks to everybody for getting back with thoughts/opinion. If it wasnt for that off centering (mostly on the back), I wouldn't pay this much. So guess I'm one of those people who would be willing to pay 20 percent more for different style. This card def need a bump to SGC 30. I will wait until whenever I'm ready to send bunch of raws.
Instead of chasing the monster set, i would rather to go for 520 cards of Taylors :) That's just me.... Best, Danny |
