Luke Easter pinback
This week I was able to add a significant Cleveland Indians pinback of Luke Easter to my collection. While I had the case out to add it to some of the others, I figured I'd snap a pic and make a post.
The new arrival is the Easter pin on the left side of the case, with Chief Wahoos at 3 and 9 o'clock. As can be seen, there's a similar pin of him with a different photo that has stars at 3 and 9 o'clock. Jim Hegan and Bob Avila are two other players I have with different poses. I don't think I had seen the "Wahoo" Easter until it apppeared on eBay last week (thanks to the three Net54ers who emailed to make sure I saw it). I'm really happy to add this to my collection, especially considering I almost messed up. When I first saw the listing, I entered an amount in the sniping service I use, planning to go back and update it if needed. I had decided during the week to significantly increase my maximum bid, but I forgot to do it. I didn't remember until I was watching the final seconds of the auction. I didn't have time to enter a higher bid and had to hold my breath as the selling price climbed within $5 of my max! I'd have been really annoyed if I had lost it by a few dollars when I was prepared to bid more. Having dodged that bullet, I then received an email from the seller that she had received numerous emails after the auction. Her implication was that she was receiving offers higher than the selling price. To her credit, she has more of a moral compass than the people who made offers, and she completed the transaction. Here are some of the ones I have from these series: http://photos.imageevent.com/ineedan...hotos/pins.jpg |
Envious, Rob. As both Tribe fan & pinback collector -- that is a beautiful lot (from a tough issue).
Congrats on the pick up. |
