Catfish Hunter Auto Price?

Hey guys, wondering if there are good sources of pricing information for auto's you can recommend and/or give me your price opinions. The only information I have been able to find is BIN prices on Ebay which of course does not say anything as to what they would actually sell for. I'm relatively new to the auto side and am considering the purchase of a Hunter autographed ball. Ball is clean with a nice blue ball-point pen signature on the sweet spot. What is a reasonable price for this? I was thinking $75-$85, but really don't know. Anyway help would be appreciated either with your opinion of price or where to get valid information.

Thanks,

Thanks,

Bill,
If you are patient, you can find a nice Catfish Hunter ball for $50- $65 in the condition that you are describing. I know I did.

$75- $85 is a standard price for one of these. Even though Catfish is deceased there is no absolute shortage of his signed balls. ;)

I hope this helps!

Also, I don't look at BIN prices, just check closed auctions. They'll give you a good idea. Patience really helps, too!

Thanks guys, much appreciated. I take it there is no service that track results similar to VCP?

I think $75-$85 is spot on as Scott said. Hunter died at 53 years old but did go through the period of many show signings so there's lots of stuff out there. He didn't sign much for a few years before his death, so eventually the supply might dry up on the really nice stuff.

BIN prices reflect what people dream they could sell their Hunter balls for.

+1. From my experience, BIN prices are usually higher than the market price. I am seeing more and more BIN and less auctions.
