Best weeknight for online auction to end?
Not sure if this belongs here but just wanted some opinions. Thanks
|
I've never sold on eBay, but voted Monday for a weeknight.. And would think Sunday if weekends were included.
PWCC seems to end a lot of his big auctions on Monday nights. |
The poll here is fine but I would vote for Sunday, probably.

Not sure, if I want something, I make sure to be there when the auction is winding down.
The thing is the payment-- If the auction ends on Tuesday and I have to wait until payday (Friday) to make the payment, a lot of auctions have 24 or 48 hour payment requirements which could make me miss the auction simply because I wouldn't be able to pay within the requested time. So for that reason, I'd say Thursday (Maybe Wednesday) so your winner has payday right around the corner. |
Yea I've always liked Sundays though if you're going for weekdays only I'd say Thursday

I sell on Ebay, and to be quite honest, with the advent of sniping, there really is no preferred night to end auctions like there used to be in the past before sniping software (back then, Sunday was the preferred night). As long as you don't end items before 5 in the afternoon east coast time, you are fine.

6 on Sunday evening.

A lot of sellers - including Probstein and folks who list regularly - end their auctions late for us East Coast folks. Why end the auctions at 11:30 pm ET?
As someone else noted, I would prefer to be awake and watching the auctions, especially in case I win a few (or don't) and want to adjust other bids accordingly. So to all sellers, a 9pm or even 10pm end time ET is still late enough to catch west coast folks, but lets the rest of us on the east coast get to sleep! |
