autographed baseball question
I have a few autographed baseballs and have stored them in a closet for
a number of years. For the most part they are in the dark and never in direct sun light. I have noticed that the autographs are fading. What should I be doing? Thank you in advance for your help :) Sandy |
as long as its out of the light, there is nothing you can do, some just fade.

It's probably the ink that was used. I have over 100 balls that were in a box in a dark closet for 20 years and are now in a uv ball case and for the most part they have not faded or changed color (a couple have had the ink turn a bit of an aqua color).

BTW, my experience is that the best ballpoint pen to use on a baseball is a BIC blue medium. Over 40 years of collecting autographs, I have yet to have seen these autographs fade on a ML ball. Ball point, especially black ball point seems to fade the easiest, FWIW. |
