I find it odd that nearly all of the players in this scandal are Latin Americans.

It does seem strange but then again the lab was in Miami.

I read that Latin American players more commonly use PEDs. It's use is common in places like Dominican Republic, with the intent of poor players wanted the money of MLB. That's what I read.

Duly note that my answer was stictly geographic, nor racial. People in Latin America are not one race, and hispanic is not a racial term. Hispanic is a cultural category. Many Americans were puzzled that George Zimmerman was called both Hispanic and white, and, of course, some Cuban and Dominican payers are black. The former president of Peru's last name was Fujimori (Japanese in origin). Hispanics and Latin Americans are as racially diverse as Americans, though the percentages are different.

My PC label story is there was a Mexican-American woman I knew from Los Angeles. Not wanting to culturally offend, I one day carefully asked her what I was should refer to her as, "Hispanic or Latina." She said "I don't care."

It is a very large problem in Latin American baseball circles
